What a busy week it was! I enjoyed a beautiful Valentine’s Day lunch with my hubs, appointments and now I am getting ready to hit the road to Dallas next weekend for a photo shoot. I am excited to see my dear friend Diane, whom I met while working at Men’s Wearhouse in Plano back in the mid 90’s. She has stood by me during several moves, through a divorce, raising kids, and we have mastered our way around NYC during NYFW logging in some great memories. My client, Amy has helped me grow my photography business and what a treat to work with someone when it doesn’t feel like work.
Today, February 19, marks a special day in the fashion blogging community, especially for those of us who are over 50. The event is called The Fierce 50 and this initiative is the brain-child of a few strong fashion-minded women, also in their 50’s. Founders are Catherine Grace O’Connell, of Catherine Grace O, Cathy Williamson, The Middle Page and Shauna Robertson, Chic Over 50 . Their stories are very inspiring, and their style is as unique as they are. They are a tribute that dressing in your 50’s isn’t a fashion death sentence and you certainly need not melt into the woodwork. I couldn’t agree more since I know I don’t feel a day over 30.
Each Fierce 50 selected blogger has featured a fashion buddy and can be found by searching the link below. Or you can hop on Instagram and use the #TheFirece50 and search for more. Check out all the women of The Fierce 50 fashion blogging community. They are amazing!
Remember to do things that make you feel uncomfortable as it is a sign to that you are about to learn something new. Have a great week everyone!
