Fall Florals ~ Transitioning into Spring!

February 5th, 2017

It’s hard to believe it’s February already which means Texans get a peek into Spring.  We deal with 80 degrees one day and then its 40’s the next.  In my opinion, it is still better than snow and ice.

This floral dress was one of those out-of-my-comfort buys.  I think it’s good to experiment with different looks, but at 56, I still have that little voice in the back of my head wondering if it is age-appropriate.  This pushed the envelope and decided since it was a look I don’t have in my closet I thought it was safe.

After pondering the frock for a bit in the dressing room, I made the purchase.  As it hung in my closet for a while thinking maybe this was a stupid purchase,  I soon found out that it was actually a perfect dress for an event I had to attend.   I paired it with my favorite suede pumps for Fall and will accessorize with some strappy sandals in about a month or so. My fringed bag in pastel pink will be another staple for my spring wardrobe.

Here’s to all of you who take wardrobe risks and happy that you did!
