In a recent trip to Colorado to visit my family, it just so happened it was in the height of the change of seasons. Fall was in its full colorful glory!! The crimson red shrubs and vibrant yellow Aspen trees along with the cool temps put me right in the mood to shop for a new fall outfit (something I’ve been a little challenged with in Austin).
I like to consider shopping like a treasure hunt…you just never know what you’re going to find. I found this cable knit sweater and pants then Mom threw in the boots and scarf as a birthday present. What a welcome treat to put on a cozy sweater on a cool day and actually enjoy it. The crisp Colorado air was glorious for this Texan. Now that I’m back to Austin, I know I’ll get to wear this outfit soon enough along with the rest of my fall wardrobe.
TIP: Pair brown with your black pants! It adds a different dimension and is a welcome change to an all black outfit (which btw is a super trend right now too). These short tan boots balances out the tan sweater and there is a camel accent on my red bag which pulls the look together. Give it a try!
Thanks for reading my first post for Fashionably Cheryl and hope you come back soon.
