In Austin, we can talk all day long about the hot weather. I am happy to report that a blast of cold air is approaching and that has me getting ready for an opportunity for some sweaters, coats and one trend I love, faux fur.
But first, let me share as I write this first post with my collaboration with Stein Mart. This post is mixed with loads of excitement coupled with a small side of fear. But when I sit back and evaluate this partnership, it’s actually a natural fit for us to work together as I have shopped at the store for many years. In fact, if you look at some of the first Fashionably Cheryl posts, there are many pieces I wore to various Austin fashion events and even New York Fashion Week.
I’ve always enjoyed picking up things to update a look or even finding classic looks that I can wear across several seasons and then mixing and matching with things from my closet or from other Austin stores and designers.
My Dad used to say to me as a kid that if you want something, you have to ask for what you want and what’s the worst thing they could say…no? Well after I saw that Stein Mart found me on Instagram in the Spring, it dawned on me that maybe I could ask about working together. And they said YES!!
For my first cute, casual and comfy look, it was a no-brainer to feature this soft faux Mongolian fur vest. I paired it with a mauve swing sweater, sparkly jewels and fun retro-styled cream booties. To add more fur fun, Cooper my faithful and quite handsome Papillion shared in the fun at our photo shoot.
Thanks for letting me share my excitement and can’t wait for you to see more outfits through the end of December. Thanks again Stein Mart!!
