Rock 'n Roll Leather ~ Soft and Easy - Fashionably Cheryl

Rock ‘n Roll Leather ~ Soft and Easy

November 22nd, 2013

Hello everyone!

Leather and black are two of the big trends for Fall but you have to be really careful if you’re over 40 to wear this trend correctly.  If you’re not careful,  you could take this all black leather look in a not so appropriate direction.

The length for skirts right now is right at the knee.  You’ll be excited skirt lengths are also right at the knee moving into Spring 2014 too!!  If you have a shorter leather skirt in your closet (like I do) pair it with black tights to keep the color moving to your feet for a cleaner line.  It will also make you appear taller

First the jacket…it is unconstructed, comfortable and the texture and detail is quite unique. It’s paired with a skirt that is actually not leather, it’s vegan leather also know as pleather. (been around for years) Surprisingly, it was super comfortable and very affordable and I didn’t really know or feel the difference from a 100% leather skirt. A simple t-shirt, also in black, adds another texture to the outfit. This edgy look is modern, age appropriate to bring out your inner rock ‘n roll personality.
