Happy New Year Everyone!
Starting out a new year for me always has me searching for a New Year’s motto. Unlike a traditional resolution I feel It’s better for me to use this type of direction because it keeps me focused across my personal and professional career. This year I selected, Be Fearless and Have Fun. The fearless part pushes me out of my comfort zone and knowing that after the fear there may be fun should be a good payoff.
Dressing for winter in Austin can certainly be challenging. Our mild Fall combined with a quick arctic blasts makes for a closet full of layers, shorts, boots and sandals. You get the idea. Just this week it was in the 20’s in the morning and two days later it was near 75 in the afternoon.
My featured outfit here was one of those fluke buys. I needed a dress for my anniversary (ok, I just wanted one) and it was actually looked pretty awful on the hanger, but once I put it on, it was a keeper. And you know I got it for a steal.
Having a dress like this is one that you should have in your closet. Classic, comfy and super fun to change up accessories. Your true timeless look. My faux fur navy blue coat takes the chill off in style and gets as much attention when I wear it as Cooper does when we are together running errands.
I wish you all an amazing year. Stay fearless and have some fun while you’re at it.
